How do I participate in the project?
It’s easy! You can purchase your FACE or CANVAS in one of three ways: Online, Phone or Mail.
After years of incredible growth, the Museum of Fine Arts is expanding and will open the new Hazel Hough Wing in March of 2008. Support the Museum of Fine Arts by participating in this fun, exciting and innovative fund-raiser organized by the young professionals of the Contemporaries.
The artists-in-residence program at St. Petersburg Clay Company has generously offered to help us create this "wall of faces." They will assist you in creating a ceramic FACE or decorating your own clay CANVAS, or you may choose to donate a FACE to be created on your behalf.
Children and adults will create a FACE from a piece of clay or imprint their hands - even imprint their favorite toy on a clay CANVAS before adding wonderful colors! The artists at St. Petersburg Clay Company will help you achieve a masterpiece which will be part of an "enormous" ceramic wall-size installation that will be in the new Interactive Education Gallery at the Museum.
Please join The Contemporaries as we create a colorful, personal Interactive Education Gallery. All donations are tax deductible and will support the expansion and renovation of the Museum.
